We have arrived in Prague!

After a fun train ride through the Eastern European countryside, we have arrived in Prague. We're staying at the Hotel Josef, a very modern, high-design hotel. Our room has a glass bathroom! The train ride was per European expectations, and was very nice. John even had a chance to try the famous European version of Budweiser, a light Czech beer, that has no association with the US version of Budweiser.

Excellent plan! Looks like a very comfy train.

That beer looks like a midget compared to the stein you had in Vienna. I hope you come back with all the info on our new franchise for the US( ha -ha). Sounds like train ride was good and weather looks like it it barely cooperating. Have fun and enjoy Prague.

That's just the beer on the train, they get bigger in the city. :) The train ride was very pleasant, and the weather has been holding up. We got a few snowflakes yesterday, but it only lasted about 15 minutes.

Oh yes, beer is the essence of any Czech culinary attitude. I noticed it when I was in Prague and during my stay in one of Prague hotels, went out every day and was drinking beer every day. It is produced according to Czech methods worldwide and its quality is respected everywhere. No wonder that the Czech Republic has the highest consumption of beer per citizen on an international level. The most expensive Czech beer I had during our visit was 50 crowns (about one pound sterling and that was at the opera). Unsurprisingly you may find more than 800 Pubs in Prague to choose from and a few of them existing since centuries. No other item do Czechs take more pride in and tasting a beer in Prague is a must.
